Patil bowls South Zone to victory

South Zone earned a seven-wicket win over North East Zone in the BCCI - Inter Zonal cricket tournament (U-19 - Girls) here on Monday. After bowling out North East Zone for 41, South Zone raced to the target in 12.4 overs. Shreyanka Patil was the star performer with the ball taking four wickets for nine runs for the winning team. In another match, East Zone held its nerve to scrape home by a wicket as it overcame West Zone. 

Brief scores: North East Zone 41 in 33.1 overs (Shreyanka Patil 4/9) lost to South Zone 42/3 in 12.4 overs. West Zone 168/9 in 50 overs (Aditi Gaikwaid 42, Indrani Chhatria 4/37, Sreya Karar 3/29) lost to East Zone 169/9 in 48.2 overs (Gayatri Gurung 72). Central Zone 142 in 47.1 overs (Manpreet Kaur 45, B Simran 3/23) lost to North Zone 144/5 in 33.1 overs (Shivani Singh 48*, B Simran 45*)
