Rajagiri stars in Thiruvallur win

Thiruvallur’s R Rajagiri scalped five for 16 to bowl his team to an innings and 26 runs win over Tiruchirapalli in the TNCA inter-districts U-16 tournament on Sunday. After taking a lead of 135 runs, Thiruvallur dismissed Tiruchirapalli for just 109 in the second innings. 

Meanwhile, Madurai’s J Rohan took six wickets for 53 runs to play a starring role in his team’s win over Tirupur.

Brief scores: Krishnagiri 79 & 194/3 in 40 overs (S Mohanakumar 107*) lost to Dindigul 334 in 78.5 overs (M Boopathi Vaishna Kumar 145, S Jayanth 118, J Abisshisk 5/45). Namakkal 146 & 47/3 in 18 overs lost to Coimbatore 229 in 70.5 overs (R Hrishikesh Trilochan 105*, C Senthil Kumar 64, V Kiruthick 4/34). Madurai 239 & 66/2 in 21 overs bt Tirupur 154 in 67.4 overs (J Rohan 6/53). Tiruchirapalli 46 & 109 in 38 overs (R Rajagiri 5/16) lost to Thiruvallur 181 in 70.2 overs.
