OG Jeyan from Madurai now holds the record for tapping the ball with a field hockey bat for the longest duration, managing to do it for a stellar span of one hour, five minutes and 39 seconds.

Local lad Vijay Boddupalli entered the record books for the second time by running in the reverse direction for about ten kilometres in a bid to promote ‘Run Bhopal Run’. “It is an honour for me (and co-record holders) to get featured in the Limca Book of Records. It is recognitions like these which help us achieve more in our areas of interest,” said Vijay during the event.

TS Sathish accomplished a rare feat of 142 half-knuckle push-ups in a minute. Apart from Jeyan, he became another member from ‘Thoonga Nagaram’ to appear in this year’s LBR. Jeyakumar Venkatasamy managed to pull off the fastest suryanamaskars last year.

The latest edition also features Sachin Tendulkar’s autobiography, ‘Playing it My Way’, as it was the most sold adult non-fiction book in 2017. Apart from sports, the book will also feature multiple range of content in various subjects such as Medical Science, Education, Nature, Adventure etc.
