Local League: Lakshminarayanan bowls RBRC to win

Lakshminarayanan's spell restricted Mambalam to 83 runs during its chase of 134. VS Tamizhdhasan had earlier played his part in the contest by picking up five wickets for Mambalam. In the fourth division, N Subhash scalped five wickets to guide Sounder CC to a huge nine-wicket win over Gandhi Nagar Starlets CC. 

In another match, Kundan Kumar’s five-wicket haul helped Sir Ashley Biggs Institute inflict a 180-run win over Park Town Recreation Club in a fifth division league game. R Paul Johnson, K Sudhakar also contributed to the huge win by slamming centuries. 

K Purusothaman scored a ton as National RC defeated Harnath Cricket Club by seven wickets.

S Prabhu stole the show by picking up eight wickets for 26 runs to help Jaya Educ Group RC post a comfortable seven-wicket win over CPRL RC in the TNCA Thiruvallur DCA League Championship match. In another game, V Santhosh Kumar returned with figures of six for eight as WABCO Ind RC defeated Wheels India RC by 67 runs.

T Shree Hari’s five-wicket haul helped Tirupur defeat Thiruvallur by virtue of the first innings lead in the TNCA Inter Districts Under-14 tournament finals at the TEA Public School in Tirupur. Replying to Tirupur’s 230, Thiruvallur was all out for 186 in its first innings.
