Local League: Ali’s knock helps St. Bede’s win

Mohamed Ali batted with an aggressive mindset and whacked 16 boundaries to single-handedly lead his team to an easy win.

S Mohana Kumar’s five for 33 enabled Krishnagiri to bowl out Thoothukudi for 147 on the first day of the TNCA inter-districts U-19 tournament quarter-final on Wednesday. At stumps, Krishnagiri was well-placed at 178 for two with a handy 31-run lead. In another match, R Rohith Ram scalped five for 46 to restrict Tirupur to 196. Tirupur’s Pradosh Ranjan Paul was impressive during his knock of 85.

S David Allvin Nishanth finished with match figures of 11 for 100 to help Kancheepuram beat Madurai by 123 runs in the semi-final of the TNCA inter-districts U-16 tournament on Wednesday.
