Local League: Velammal Panchetti crowned U-16 champion

Riding on a splendid bowling effort by its bowlers, Velammal restricted DAV to 114 in 27.3 overs with Manav Patel (4/28) and P Saravanan (3/25) wreaking havoc. The only DAV batsman who could offer some resistance was V Srivathsan who scored 36. Velammal too struggled in its pursuit and lost six wickets before it could get past the finishing line. 

S Santhosh Kumar of Velammal scored the only half-century of the match to help his team to chase down the target in the 29th over.

BRIEF SCORES: Final: DAV Mugappair 114 in 27.3 overs (V Srivathsan 36, P Saravanan 3/25, Manav Patel 4/28) lost to Velammal International Panchetti 118/6 in 28.2 overs (S Santhosh Kumar 51).
