Chennai Spikers prevails over Indian Overseas Bank in a thriller
In a thriller of a contest, the exuberance and enterprise of Chennai Spikers saw it come up trumps over the more experienced Indian Overseas Bank 25-20, 25-27, 25-20 on the opening day of the 67th senior state volleyball championship for men and women at the MRK Stadium here on Monday.

Spikers won both sets by an identical margin of 25-20. After dropping the first set, IOB boasting of players such as M Naveen Raja Jacob and M Ukkrapandian clinched the second set with a narrow margin. Spikers’ aggressive tactics paid off as it dominated the final set from the outset.
