Local League: Peri Institute, SR University score easy wins
Peri Institute of Technology and Sri Ramachandra University scored easy victories in the College Boys’ category of the Reliance Foundation Youth Sports Football Tournament in Chennai on Wednesday.

Peri trounced Sri Sairam Engineering College 5-0. Once they broke the shackles in the 13th minute. Parthiban scored the opening goal while Prajin Jyothi added one more in the 16th to take a comfortable 2-0 lead. Louis then got into the act, firing in a brace in the 43rd and the 48th minutes. Prajin helped himself to his second goal in the dying minutes of the match to set Peri up for tougher clashes ahead.
In another match, Sri Ramachandra University had an equally easy outing against Alpha Arts and Science College, winning 3-0. Purander KM (20th), Advaith Ram Kumar (29th) and Sai Chaitanya (43rd) were the goal-scorers for the winners.
