Amalraj, Sathiyan in inter-unit final
Tamil Nadu’s Antony Amalraj beat veteran A Sharath Kamal 4-2 to move into the final of the 36th PSPB Inter-unit Table Tennis tournament here on Saturday. Later, G Sathiyan beat Harmeet Desai in the other semi-final, coincidentally with the same scoreline.

In the women’s group, it would be a clash of Olympians Manika Batra and Mouma Das with the former getting the better of veteran Pooja Sahasrabudhe 4-3 and the latter beating Kritwikka Sinha Roy 4-2.
Manika was slow to start with and Pooja seized the early initiative and raced to a two game lead. However, Manika fought back valiantly and restored parity in no time to surge ahead. The veteran Pooja forced the decider but in the end, it was Manika’s day.
