Tamil Nadu men storm into semis

Earlier, Indian Railways men and women stormed into the semi-finals when the men beat Andhra Pradesh 25-20, 25-20, 25-13 while the women beat Uttar Pradesh 25-13, 25-8, 25-17. Punjab and Kerala joined the railway men in the last four when they got the better of Services 25-22, 25-18, 25-19 and Himachal Pradesh 25-14, 25-11, 25-13 respectively. In the women’s group, Telangana beat Andhra Pradesh 25-23, 25-18, 25-6 to advance to the last four while Maharashtra beat hosts Tamil Nadu 25-19, 25-8, 25-11 in their quarter-final match.
