Jayaveena sets the pool on fire
Chennai swimmer A V Jayaveena won three gold, two silver and one bronze medals at the recently concluded all-India inter-university aquatic championship at Punjab University in Chandigarh.

Jayaveena, a student of Sri Ramachandra University in B.Sc. Sports Sciences, won the gold in 50m butterfuly stroke, 100m free style and 50m free style; silver in 200m individual medley and 50m breast stroke and bronze in the 100m breast stroke event.Â
Jayaveena’s classmate, Nivya Raja, won the gold in 50m back stroke and bronze in 100m back stroke events while Sri Ramachandra University won the overall second runner-up trophy.Â
