The Jeppiaar Institute of Technology (JIT), Sriperumpudur boys won a State-level basketball championship at Karur. Jeppiaar overpowered Arise, Chennai in a lop-sided final.

Moin beik (23 points) and Junior India star Daniel Richards (17 points ) were the main scorers in the summit clash. Earlier in the semi-finals Jeppiaar Institute of Technology defeated Karur basketball club.Â
