Going Viral: MS Dhoni trailer garners over 8.5 million views in a day

The Neeraj Pandey directed film, as the name suggests, is based on the life of India’s most loved cricketer and the current ODI and T20 captain of the Indian national cricket team, Mahendra Singh Dhoni. The MS Dhoni trailer takes us back to Dhoni’s childhood and how he juggled his studies with his passion for cricket. 

The film traces his transformation from being a ticket collector in Ranchi to becoming the captain of the Indian team. The trailer starts with Sushant Singh Rajput (who plays Dhoni), cribbing about his career going nowhere. While Dhoni’s father, played by Anupam Kher, wants him to focus on his job as a ticket collector, Dhoni is adamant on chasing his dream of becoming an ace cricketer. The promo beautifully showcases his prowess on the field and how he became an international sports star. 

It’s all there, and you feel gooseflesh while seeing it unveil in front of your eyes. Produced by Fox Star Studios and Inspired Entertainment, MS Dhoni: The Untold Story has been shot extensively in Ranchi. It is slated to hit theatres on September 30.
