‘No desi cricketer involved in rape’
Official sources downplayed a massive controversy after Zimbabwean media reported that an unnamed Indian cricketer had been arrested on charges.

Denying the report, official sources in India said the person arrested was in fact affiliated to one of the sponsors of the ongoing limited-overs series. According to them, the arrested man, affiliated with one of the sponsors had denied the charge and expressed his willingness to undergo a DNA test. India are currently engaged in a three-match, Twenty20 series against the hosts after sweeping the ODIs 3-0.
