Local League: Harish, Ganesh sizzle with ball

While was heartbreak for Surya who couldn’t prevent his team, Ebenezer CA, spiralling down to a 66-run loss in the first division, Harish and Ganesh played important roles in SRMC and Sundar CC’s victories respectively in the third division. Batting first, SRMC posted 195 on the board with B. Aditya (40*) and M. Lavith (34) anchoring the main batting roles. In reply, Lucas TVS could only muster 129, thanks to Harish’s right-arm medium pace that destroyed the Lucas’ line-up.

In another match, Wheels India, batting first, were restricted to 128/9 in 30 overs with Ganesh being the wrecker-in-chief. However, it wasn’t easy for Sundar CC as they huffed and puffed to cross the line with two wickets and four balls remaining.

III division: SRMC RI & RC 195/6 in 30 overs (M. Lavith 34, B. Aditya 40.n.o, K.J. Vijay 30.n.0, V. Ragavan 4/60) bt Lucas TVS RC 129 in 25.4 0vers (J. Harish Babu 5/50); Wheels India RC 128/9 in 30 overs (M. Madhan Kumar 33, S. Raghunath 3/61, S.L. Raja Ganesh 5/36) lost to Sundar CC 131/8 in 29.2 0vers (S. Raghunath 42, D. Alexander David Raj 4/52, G. Dinesh 4/48).
