Local League: South Central Railway beat Arise Rising Star
South Central Railway defeated Arise Rising Star 61-50 in the women’s section of the Arise Steel Cup all-India basketball tournament at the Santhome school on Thursday.

R Ramya was the top scorer for SCR with 13 points. Avanti Vardhan and Preethi scored 17 points each for the losers. Earlier, on Wednesday night, Central Railway prevailed over Income Tax 81-80. Jerard Titus topscored for Central Railway with 22 points.
Rikin Pethni (25) was the top scorer for Income Tax. ONGC defeated Vijaya Bank 63-48 in another men’s match. Amrit Pal Singh (11) top-scored for ONGC while Sanjay Raj (18) was the top scorer for Vijaya Bank. RCF beat Indian Army 8266 while IOB defeated Punjab 74-49 in another match.
