Fittipaldi, Troitcki win on action-packed day
Brazilian Pietro Fittipaldi and Russian Nikita Troitcki emerged winners on the first racing day of the MRF Challenge finale at the MMRT near here on Saturday.

Fittipaldi leads the championship with 207 points while female driver Tatiana Caldreon of Columbia is placed second with 172 points. With a 35-point lead, Fittipaldi would seal the title with a third place finish in the third race on Sunday.Â
The action-packed second race started well with Indian Tarun Reddy taking control of the proceedings from the start. However, on lap 16, Picariello crashed into Reddy with the latter ploughing through the barriers and both were eliminated from the race.Â
Calderon, meanwhile held Mick Schumacher and Harrison Newey well but she had to fall back when Schumacher made contact a lap later and the German lost places with a spin to finish sixth.Â
Earlier in race one, Fittipaldi kept Newey at bay to finish on top.Â
Schumacher lost two places after the start but held on well and leapfrogged Reddy, who lost three places, to finish third.Â
