You choose what happens to you

Everyone at some point has wondered, ‘Why am I going through what I am’? Or, ‘Why did this happen to me’? Most often we are unconscious of the choices we have and unaware of the choices we have made. But life is not out of chance, it is out of choice.

If you fail to realise this, you will continue to think what is happening is not your own choice. But please remember everything happens because of the choices we have made or failed to make.

No living being, except humans, has the option to choose a living. They have life and they live. Humans however have a choice of how to live, which we call lifestyle. The Vedas say, anything that hampers growth, or eliminates the benefits you already possess cannot be called as lifestyle, it is called a sin. But we do have a choice to choose the lifestyle we want.

Your lifestyle can be either a tantra or a dardra. Tantra is any action performed through which one attains positive results either in the present or in the future. Tantra has nothing to do with any particular religion or ritual. Dardra on the other hand is an action that has harmful or negative effects. We, as humans, have the power to choose to live out of tantra or dardra

Everybody who smokes or drinks knows it is injurious to health. This is proof enough to know that knowledge plays no role in the quality of life. It is the awareness of the power of choice that makes all the difference.

The highest choice a human can make is the choice to live a conscious life; to be conscious of every action you take, every thought you think and every food you partake. Conscious living isn’t about being conscious of what is happening and what will happen; it is giving your 100 per cent to your life to bring life to your dreams and desires. This can be achieved not by doing something big, but with one being aware of the doubt or conflict or a self-defeating thought of one’s own dreams and desires. Once you are aware of such doubts, conflict and self-defeating thoughts, that very moment the dardra or obstacle hindering your growth will be eliminated leaving you with a life full of tantra

Every Veda and Upanishad exists for humans to see progress. And every holy scripture requests only one thing from humans: ‘When you have a choice to create a future why don’t you create a better future?’

Wishing you a life full of tantra.
