CHENNAI: In a heartfelt gesture of gratitude, a Muslim couple from Navalur Nagar in Thanjavur organized a grand feast at the famous Veeramakaliamman Temple after their son’s health fully recovered.

According to a Daily Thanthi report, over 200 people from the local community were served meat dishes during the celebration held on Sunday (Jan 25).

Jagir Usain (52), who runs a grocery store on Vilar Road, and his wife Tanzila (48), were deeply worried about their son, Pareeskan (27), a Bachelor of Engineering graduate, who had been suffering from serious health issues.

Upon hearing about their plight, locals encouraged Jagir Usain to seek blessings at the well-known Veeramakaliamman Temple by offering prayers.
