Temperatures likely to rise across Tamil Nadu till Feb 9: RMC

According to the weather bulletin, a lower-level cyclonic circulation prevailing over north Kerala and adjoining areas may bring light to moderate rain at isolated places in south coastal Tamil Nadu, delta districts and Karaikal today. However, dry weather is likely to prevail over the rest of Tamil Nadu and Puducherry.

CHENNAI: The Regional Meteorological Centre (RMC) has forecast a gradual rise in maximum temperatures by 1–2°C at a few places across Tamil Nadu, Puducherry and Karaikal from today until Feb 9th.

In Chennai and its suburbs, the sky is expected to remain partly cloudy, with maximum temperatures around 30–31°C and minimum temperatures near 21°C over the next two days.

According to the weather bulletin, a lower-level cyclonic circulation prevailing over north Kerala and adjoining areas may bring light to moderate rain at isolated places in south coastal Tamil Nadu, delta districts and Karaikal today. However, dry weather is likely to prevail over the rest of Tamil Nadu and Puducherry.

Moderate mist is expected during early morning hours at isolated locations in the districts of Nilgiris, Salem, Krishnagiri, Dharmapuri, Tirupattur, Vellore and Ranipet.

The department has indicated that dry weather conditions are likely to continue across Tamil Nadu, Puducherry and Karaikal from tomorrow until Feb 9 to Feb 11th.

During these days too, moderate mist is expected in the early mornings at isolated places in the Nilgiris, Salem, Krishnagiri, Dharmapuri, Tirupattur, Vellore and Ranipet districts.
