Tamil Nadu: As ban nears end, fishers gear up

CHENNAI: With the annual 61-day fishing ban along the coast of Tamil Nadu concluding tomorrow.

Fishermen in Rameswaram are gearing up to resume fishing operations starting Monday (June 15).

Fishermen were engaged in loading equipment and diesel onto country boats for transfer to trawlers that are expected to head out to sea, hoping for a productive catch.
