CHENNAI: Special trains will be operated between Chennai Egmore – Tirunelveli and Tambaram – Tuticorin to clear extra rush of passengers during Thai Poosam, said a Southern Railway press release.
Train No 06001 Chennai Egmore – Tirunelveli Superfast Special will leave Chennai Egmore at 11.45 pm on January 30 (Friday) and reach
Tirunelveli at 11.15 am, the next day (one service).
Train No 06002 Tirunelveli – Tambaram Superfast Special will leave Tirunelveli at 10.35 pm on February 1 (Sunday) and reach Tambaram at 09.30 am, the next day (one service). Coach composition will be of 18 AC three tier coaches and two luggage cum brake vans.
Train No 06003 Tambaram – Tuticorin Superfast Special will leave Tambaram at 11.50 pm on January 31 (Saturday) and reach Tuticorin at 11.00 am, the next day (one service).
Train No 06004 Tuticorin – Chennai Beach Superfast Special will leave Tuticorin at 11.55 pm on February 1(Sunday) and reach Chennai Beach at 11.30 am the next day (one service). Coach composition will be of two AC chair car coaches, 12 sitting chair car coaches,
four general second class coaches and two second class coaches (Disabled friendly).
Advance reservation for the special trains will open at 02.15 pm on January 29 (Thursday), added the release.
