CHENNAI: One-way express special train will be operated between Podanur – Dr MGR Chennai Central to clear extra rush of passengers during Pongal, said a Southern Railway press release.
Train No 06144 Podanur – Dr MGR Chennai Central one-way express special will leave Podanur at 07.40 am on January 18 (Sunday) and reach Dr MGR Chennai Central at 04.45 pm, the same day (one service). The train will have stoppages at Katpadi, Arakkonam, Tiruvallur and Perambur.
Coach composition will be of two AC chair car coaches, nine sitting chair car coaches (out of which four coaches earmarked for un-reserved passengers), three general second class coaches and two second class coaches (Disabled friendly). Advance reservation for the one way express special will open at 08.00 am on January 14 (Wednesday), added the release.
