The curriculum has been made available for the public from Tuesday at https://tnschools.gov.in.

The department and the SCERT have requested feedback and comments regarding the new syllabus from the public by January 25.

The public can send their comments along with their personal details through the online form provided on the website https://tnschools.gov.in.

The state government formed the two committees under the leadership of School Education Minister Anbil Mahesh Poyyamozhi for a major curriculum revamp. The ISRO chairman, V Narayanan, is one of the notable members of the expert committee.

Following the launch of the State Education Policy (SEP) in August 2025, the government announced the syllabus revamp in November 2025, set to be implemented in the 2027-2028 academic year.

Subsequently, a minister-led expert committee and design committee were formed.

The curriculum design committee is headed by the State Planning Commission (SPC) member and Professor Sultan Ahmed Ismail. It is to be noted that the curriculum was previously changed in 2017.
