Regular services of 3 Amrit Bharat trains from Tamil Nadu to begin from January 23

A weekly Tambaram-Santragachi AB Express will begin regular service from January 23, leaving Tambaram at 3.30 pm on Fridays and reaching Santragachi at 8.15 pm the next day.

CHENNAI: The railway board has notified the commencement of regular services for three Amrit Bharat (AB) Express trains originating from Tamil Nadu later this month, providing long-distance connectivity from Tambaram, Tiruchy and Nagercoil to eastern and northern India.

A weekly Tambaram-Santragachi AB Express will begin regular service from January 23, leaving Tambaram at 3.30 pm on Fridays and reaching Santragachi at 8.15 pm the next day.

In the return direction, the train will depart Santragachi at 11.55 pm on Saturdays and arrive at Tambaram at 9.15 am on Mondays. The service will stop at Chennai Egmore, Nellore, Vijayawada, Rajahmundry, Visakhapatnam, Bhubaneswar, Cuttack and Kharagpur, among other stations.

Two AB Superfast Express services linking TN with New Jalpaiguri in West Bengal have also been scheduled. Tiruchy-New Jalpaiguri AB Superfast Express will begin regular service from January 28, departing Tiruchy at 5.45 am on Wednesdays and reaching New Jalpaiguri at 5 am on the third day.

The return service will leave New Jalpaiguri at 4.45 pm on Fridays and arrive at Tiruchy at 4.15 pm on the third day.

Nagercoil-New Jalpaiguri AB Superfast Express will start from January 25, leaving Nagercoil at 11 pm on Sundays and reaching New Jalpaiguri at 5 am on the fourth day, with the return service departing New Jalpaiguri at 4.45 pm on Wednesdays.
