

CHENNAI: Tamil Nadu BJP election in-charge Piyush Goyal on Thursday said the strong AIADMK-led NDA will come to power in April and it will transform the State’s future through infrastructure development and good governance.
Indicating that this combine would sweep the polls, ending the “corrupt and dynasty rule” of the DMK, he said after holding a breakfast meeting with AIADMK general secretary Edappadi K Palaniswami that they would strive for the well-being of the people and restore Tamil Nadu’s glory.
“We will work for the women, children, youth, fishermen, farmers, and every section of the society so that Tamil Nadu becomes glorious once again, and we will restore Tamil culture and pride,” he said.
Later, the two leaders addressed the press together.
Palaniswami said Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s rally near Chennai on January 23 will be a turning point ahead of Assembly elections, as it would pave the way for the defeat of the “corrupt DMK regime.”
Goyal’s breakfast meeting with the AIADMK general secretary at the latter’s Greenways Road residence here was aimed at giving the NDA in the state a final shape ahead of the Prime
Minister’s election rally. Claiming that the strong AIADMK-led NDA in the state, which will come to power in April and transform the state’s future, Goyal told reporters, “We will bring infrastructure, development, and good governance.”
Later, after meeting GK Vasan, president of Tamil Maanila Congress-Moopanar (TMC-M) and AC Shanmugam, founder-president of the New Justice Party, Goyal said the NDA in Tamil Nadu would continue to expose the “corrupt DMK,” which failed to deliver on its promises to the state’s people.
“Our alliance stands united and strong to challenge the DMK’s efforts to strike at Tamil culture and pride. We reaffirmed our commitment to providing clean, accountable, and people-centric governance in Tamil Nadu,” the Union minister said on ‘X.’
