North India bound trains from Tamil Nadu to face delays

CHENNAI: Several trains connecting Tamil Nadu with northern India will face route and timing changes in September and October due to yard remodelling at Agasod station in Madhya Pradesh.

The Chennai Central–New Delhi Tamil Nadu Superfast Express will be diverted via Bhopal, Maksi, Guna and Gwalior from September 26 to October 14, skipping Jhansi. Its return service will take the reverse route on select dates from October 2 to 14.

The Chennai Central–Katra Andaman Express on October 14 will leave four hours late, at 9.10 am, while the Nizamuddin–Madurai Sampark Kranti on October 15 will depart five hours late, at 10.20 am.

The Thiruvananthapuram - Nizamuddin Superfast Express on October 13 will skip Bhopal and Bina and run via Itarsi, Jabalpur and Jhansi. The Nizamuddin–Coimbatore Kongu Superfast Express and Pondicherry–New Delhi Superfast Express will also face delays on October 14.
