TIRUCHY: Tiruchy International Airport has enhanced a few passenger amenities, including a kids' play area and GPS-enabled digital clocks, to ensure passengers maintain proper reporting times.
According to the official sources, in order to provide improved passenger-friendly amenities within the terminal premises, the authorities have established a dedicated kids' play area in the security hold areas of both the international and the domestic terminals.
“Each play area has been developed at an estimated cost of Rs 1.5 lakhs in an area of 20 sq metres in each security hold area, which would provide a safe and engaging space for children while families await boarding, thereby enhancing the overall travel experience”, said an official statement from the Airport Director.
Similarly, as many as six GPS-enabled digital clocks have been fixed to ensure effective time management and enhance operational discipline within the terminal premises. As per the arrangement, two clocks were fixed at the departure level, two at the arrival level and one each at the entry and exit gates of the airport toll booth.
“The installation of these digital clocks would help passengers maintain proper reporting time as per their travel schedule”, the statement said further. These clocks at the toll booth areas would support smoother vehicular movement, promote lane discipline and improve traffic management within the airport premises.
