Replying to the query, Hindu Religious and Charitable Endowments (HR&CE) Minister PK Sekarbabu referred to the world-famous Mahamaham festival, which is held once every 12 years and is scheduled to take place in 2028. Veiling a reference to the upcoming elections, he said that when the ritual event is held, their leader would continue as Chief Minister.

In another instance, Minister for Public Works EV Velu directly linked his reply to an election prediction while responding to a question raised by CPM legislator M Chinnadurai (Gandarvakottai).
