CHENNAI: In a major reshuffle of police officers in Tamil Nadu, the home department transferred over 50 officers on Tuesday.
ADGP Maheshwar Dayal, Director General of Prisons and Correctional Services will be the new Additional Director General of Police, Law and Order replacing Davidson Devasirvatham who has been promoted to the rank of Director General of Police and posted as DGP, Armed Police.
Inspector General of Police (South zone), Prem Anand Sinha is promoted as ADGP and posted as Commissioner of Police, Avadi replacing K Shankar who is posted as Director General of Prisons and Correctional Services.
A Amalraj who was serving as ADGP, Enforcement Bureau CID is transferred and posted as Commissioner of Police, Tambaram city, an office he served earlier. Amalraj will be replacing ADGP Abhin Dinesh Modak who will take the place of Amalraj at Enforcement Bureau CID
ADGP, Cyber Crime wing, Sandeep Mittal is promoted to the rank of DGP and will continue serving as DGP, Cyber Crime wing.
T.S Anbu serving as IGP, CB-CID has been promoted to the rank of ADGP and posted as ADGP, CB-CID.
