Man hacks son to death in Puducherry

According to police sources, Kumar and his son Ranjith possessed French citizenship and Ranjith was living in France. Ranjith came to Puducherry last week and since had reportedly been engaged in quarrels with his father.

Such a quarrel had erupted on Monday night and out of rage, Kumar allegedly attacked Ranjith with a knife, killing him on the spot.

The Ariyankuppam police recovered the body and sent it to the medical college hospital for post-mortem.

The police arrested Kumar and a case has been registered. Investigations are on.
