Kamal to get doctorate in Odisha today

A release issued by the MNM said that Kamal will be receiving an honorary doctorate degree from Centurion University of Technology and Management.

Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik will be presiding over the special ceremonial convocation on November 19, 2019 and will award Kamal, it said, adding that the doctorate degree is a recognition of Kamal Haasan’s contribution for the country in the field of cinema, culture and arts. The university has also invited Kamal to visit their campus keeping in view of the skill training they provide.

“They wish to extend their support for the newly inaugurated skill development center at Paramakudi by mentoring it under Gram Tarang programme,” it said.

On Monday, Kamal called on Odisha CM NaveenPatnaik at Bhubaneswar.
