Berlin Jenova Mary (48), executive officer of Mettupalayam panchayat near Musiri, was reportedly involved in fraudulent activities. When serving as an executive officer of Koothaipar panchayat near T-Pettai, she allegedly swindled funds up to Rs 25 lakh and was suspended. Later, she joined as executive officer of Mettupalayam and there she reportedly spent funds beyond the limit with fake receipts.
