Chennai: AIADMK general secretary Edappadi K Palaniswami has asserted that the DMK will never ever come to power again in the State.

After taking part in a Jain community event in the Sowcarpet area of Chennai, Palaniswami addressed the media and said the upcoming election would be the DMK's last.

He alleged that the DMK had failed to fulfil even one-fourth of the promises it made during the previous election.

He further claimed that protests are taking place across Tamil Nadu and that the entire State has turned into a protest ground. According to him, the DMK government has earned the people's resentment.

Palaniswami said that people of Tamil Nadu would bid farewell to the DMK in the forthcoming election.

Meanwhile, in another statement, Edappadi K. Palaniswami paid tribute to the martyrs who sacrificed their lives during the Hindi agitation.
