Puducherry
Addressing a press conference here, Narayanasamy said, four days back, he along with Ministers Kandasamy, Kamalakannan and Lok Sabha member V Vaithilingam visited Karaikal and issued certificates to industrialists, NGOs and temple administration for their help to de-silt tanks and lakes in the region and to honour them. However, the Lt Governor invited the same industrialists and others to Raj Nivas on Monday and arranged a function to honour them.He said the order of the Madras HC, that the Lt Governor should not intervene into the day-to-day affairs of the government, was in force. However, she is violating the court order, he alleged.
Narayanasamy further blamed the Centre of showing a step-motherly attitude towards Puducherry and initiating no action against Bedi despite several representations.
Reacting to Narayanasamy’s statement that he does not want Bedi to be a ‘rubber stamp,’ but should function as per rules, the Lt Governor in a WhatsApp message said “Yes indeed, rules apply to both and bad and crude language and derogatory posters and lies are not part of the rules. Who is doing that,” she asked.
She asked, who is holding back Ministers, even when they want to come to Raj Nivas, from meeting her. They come at night on scooter camouflaged, she said and asked do you know that they came. What rules are these, she wondered.Bedi also asked him who is directing officers not to be part of social media for people welfare.
