Class 2 girl sexually assaulted by tutor’s husband

The police on Thursday arrested a 40-year-old man for alleged sexual assault on a Class 2 girl in Avadi. The man is the husband of the girl’s tuition teacher, said the police, adding that he worked as a car driver.

The incident happened when the child visited her teacher’s house with her younger brother for tuition class. The girl informed her parents about the incident and they lodged a complaint at the Avadi all-women police station.


The officials registered a case and arrested the man after he was booked under thePocso Act.
