With a pass percentage of 98.89 per cent, Anglo Indian schools too have put up a good performance in the examination.
Academicians and teachers say that the coaching is better in these managements compared to others.
Even in 2018, matriculation school stood number one in the overall pass percentage of 98.54 per cent in Class 10 board exams.
"Infrastructure facilities including better teaching skills and availability of libraries will contribute more to the students. In addition, school management will always ensure 100 per cent pass percentage," K Savithiri, principal of a matriculation school in Pallavaram said.
She said private school’s management also ensures that students, especially appearing for class 10, 11, 12 board exams, will have minimum five revision tests before coming to the main exam.
"More than 90 per cent private schools have student counselling centres, which would ensure to clear exam fear of the candidates", she added.
Annie George, a Class 10 teacher in a Anglo Indian school near Broadway, said her school management will give special training to the poor performing students regularly after class hours to score good marks in the final exam.
"All academic updates of the students will be informed to the parents on regular basis in order to get their co-operation", she added.
More than 1.4 lakh candidates appeared for class ten exams this year.
