CB-CID gets new chief, 3 officers shifted

CHENNAI: The State government on Wednesday transferred senior police officer V Varunkumar, serving as Deputy Inspector General (DIG), Crime Branch-CID, and posted him as DIG, Special Task Force (STF), Erode.

DIG V Vikraman, who was on compulsory wait, was posted as DIG, CB-CID.

In another transfer, Superintendent of Police (SP) B Ragupathi, who had been on compulsory wait, was appointed as the Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP), Pallikaranai, in the Tambaram Police Commissionerate.
