CHENNAI: In the first instance of a harsh attack on fledgling Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam (TVK), the Dravidian major AIADMK has issued a strongly worded statement attacking actor-leader Vijay for his remarks calling the Dravidian major a slave of the BJP.

The lead opposition party issued a statement for labelling AIADMK as "corrupt" and "subservient to the BJP."

The party outright rejected Vijay's corruption allegations, instead accusing him of graft in his film career.

The party outright rejected Vijay's corruption allegations, instead accusing him of graft in his film career.

In a severe accusation, the AIADMK held Vijay partially responsible for the recent Karur tragedy that claimed 41 lives. It claimed he avoided accountability by "hiding in his Panaiyur residence for over 72 days" and shutting his party office. The statement condemned him for not visiting the bereaved families, instead making them travel to console him, calling it an act of "sheer arrogance."

Vijay's political conduct was labelled "dangerous narcissistic behaviour." The AIADMK accused him of "staging condolence events," shedding "glycerine tears," and engaging in self-promotion. It dismissed him as a "fan-driven celebrity" in politics, stating that while politicians can be good or capable, they "should not be ignorant."

The AIADMK dismissed all of Vijay's criticisms as "complete rubbish" and called for discarding both the "Anna Arivalayam (DMK headquarters) trash" and the "Panaiyur trash" together.
