Anbumani gets reprieve in Dalmia Cement case

CHENNAI: The Madras High Court has ordered an interim stay on the trial of the case filed against PMK leader Anbumani Ramadoss based on a complaint filed by Dalmia Cement’s General Manager, Raja Ranjith Singh, for entering the firm’s Ariyalur limestone mine premises alleging environmental pollution in the area.

Subsequently, a petition seeking an interim stay on the proceedings of the case pending before the Ariyalur court was filed. After hearing the matter, the judge observed that no violence had taken place during the protest, granted an interim stay on the case trial.
