

CHENNAI: The Southern Railway (SR) has announced the inaugural run of the new Amrit Bharat trains between Nagercoil — New Jalpiguri, Tiruchy — New Jalpaiguri, and Tambaram — Santragachi today and tomorrow.
Train 02603 Rangapani (West Bengal)-Nagercoil AB express will be flagged off from Rangapani station today at 1.45 pm and reach Nagercoil at 7.15 pm on the third day. Train will have stoppages at Katpadi, Jolarpettai, Salem and Erode.
Train 02609 New Jalpaiguri (West Bengal)-Tiruchy AB express will be flagged off from New Jalpaiguri station tentatively at 1.45 pm today and reach Tiruchy at 2.15 pm on the third day.
The train will have stoppages at Tambaram and Chengalpattu.
Train 06108 Santragachi (West Bengal)-Tambaram AB express will leave Santragachi at 2.45 pm on January 18 (Sunday) and reach Tambaram at 06.45 pm the next day. All trains will have a coach composition of eight sleeper class coaches, 11 general second class coaches, one pantry car and two second class coaches (Disabled friendly), said a press release.
Train 16597/16598 SMVT Bengaluru-Alipurduar-SMVT Bengaluru (via Katpadi-Jolarpettai), Train 16523/16524 SMVT Bengaluru-Balurghat-SMVT Bengaluru express, Train 16223/16224 SMVT Bengaluru-Radhikapur-SMVT Bengaluru weekly express will also be inaugurated on Saturday.
Regular services of the all the trains will be notified separately, added the release.
