The action comes a day ahead of the party’s high-level meeting on Wednesday to discuss the party’s strategy in the Assembly session to be convened on January 8. The MLAs, who lost their party posts, include M Kothandapani, C Jayanthi Padmanabhan, VT Kalaiselvan, K Kathirkamu, SG Subramanian, S Mariappan Kennedy, S Muthaiah, R Sundarraj and K Uma Maheswari.
The action is being viewed as a warning to MLAs who may be considering switching over to Dinakaran’s camp.
