TIRUCHY: In a strange incident, three minor boys had reportedly arranged the wedding of a minor couple who are their friends in Kumbakonam, and the police arrested one of the boys and are searching for the other two.
It is said that a 16-year-old girl who has been pursuing Class 12 in a school in Kumbakonam was said to have an affair with a boy of the same age. The minor duo had planned to elope, but were afraid that their parents could find their whereabouts.
The couple had informed their willingness to their three friends. Interestingly, one of the boys volunteered to take them to his house when his parents were away.
Accordingly, on December 17, the boy took the couple to his house. By the time, the boy who helped the duo requested another to organise their wedding.
Meanwhile, when the girl had not returned home on the particular day, her parents searched in vain. They complained to the Kumbakonam All Women Police Station.
The boys, who sensed that the girl was being searched by police, forced the girl to return home.
In the meantime, the police secured one of the boys and conducted an interrogation, and he confessed to their plan. The police after registering a case are searching for the other two, and the minor groom.
