2 minors held for sickle attack on college student in Nagercoil

KANNIYAKUMARI: Police have arrested two juveniles for allegedly attempting to attack a college student with a sickle at Anna Bus Stand in Nagercoil.

On Thursday (August 20), while a 16-year-old ITI student from Ammandivilai was waiting at the Anna Bus stop, two juveniles a 16-year-old from Idalakkudi and a 17-year-old from Kottar approached him and picked a quarrel with him.

They suddenly attempted to attack him with sickles. The college student escaped from them and ran away. As the public gathered, the juveniles fled from the scene.

On receiving information, Kottar police registered a case and arrested the two juveniles. A probe revealed that the duo had a previous dispute with the student over teasing young women.
