Chennai: On a day where bowlers called the shots, an astounding 22 wickets fell in the match between Jolly Rovers and Jupiter SC on the first day of the ninth round of the TNCA First Division League here.
Left-arm spinner R Sasidharan took eight for 35 to bowl out Jolly Rovers for 81. In reply, Jupiter’s batters found the going tough too, getting bowled out for 87 with a slender lead of six runs.
In its second innings, the Rovers batters performed far better, reaching 136 for two with B Sachin batting on 51. Rovers leads by 130 with two days remaining.
