CHENNAI: Top seed 25 year old Max Houkes from Netherland and Neils Visker of Netherlands treated the 100 plus  spectators who turned up at the SDAT Tennis Stadium  to two hours and thirty eight minutes of exhilarating tennis in the finals of the Adityan ITF M25 International Tennis Championships 2026.

It was a tennis duel which saw skimming backhand slices, tricky drops and  lobs  from Houkes, deep forehands, crisp volleys, glorious smashes from Visker and simple graceful precise serving from both players.

Max Houkes got off to a blistering start leading 4-1 in the game and played delectable drop shots close to the net which upset Visker rhythm. Houkes went to hold serve to clinch the first set 6-3.

In the second set, Visker was at his attacking best - picking up the ball on the rise, moving and playing penetrative volleys and well placed smashes. Houkes' brave tactics enabled him to level the score six games all and Visker finished the tie break and the second set.

In the third set, Houkes continued his consistent and steady play using the backhand slice to great effect and broke Visker in the eighth game to go ahead 5-3 and serve to follow.

Houkes had match points at 40-30 and in these occasions after a fast paced rally Visker unleashed backhand cross court winners deep into the corner to make it deuce. Houkes played a forcing shot to go ahead and close out the final set 6-3 to win a deserving title.
