TIRUCHY: If the people of Tamil Nadu give chance to the AIADMK to form government, Edappadi K Palaniswami will pledge the state to the BJP as he has almost become the face of the saffron party in the state, accused Chief Minister MK Stalin here on Wednesday.

Campaigning for the candidates of Secular Progressive Alliance (SPA) from nine assembly segments in Tiruchy during a public meeting, Stalin who sought 100 percent victory to the alliance, said, the people of Tamil Nadu opted DMK during the assembly polls 2021 that paved way for the Dravidian Model government which had almost fulfilled the promises during the tenure.

He said that Tamil Nadu is free from clashes in the name of caste and religion unlike the BJP ruled states. “Now the BJP plans to instigate violence in the name of religion for which they utilise Edappadi K Palaniswami. If the BJP contests alone in Tamil Nadu they would secure less than the NOTA and so they opted to travel along with the AIADMK “, Stalin said.

He pointed out that the AIADMK is purely under the control of the BJP and this was evident that the Dravidian Movement leader Periyar’s portrait was removed in the NDA meeting in Madurai. “Will it be allowed by the AIADMK leaders like MGR and Jayalalithaa?. Palaniswami allowed it as he is just a slave to the BJP”, he said.

Stating that EPS who claimed to lead the alliance in the state but the alliance parties held talks with the BJP in Delhi, Stalin said, the Prime Minister himself stated that it would be an NDA government and not even mentioned EPS as CM candidate.

“If people give a chance to AIADMK to form government, EPS would pledge Tamil Nadu to the BJP”, claimed Stalin.
