Rat bites passenger on nose aboard AC coach of Una-Indore Express

INDORE: Passengers book tickets in air-conditioned coaches expecting premium service and a comfortable journey, but for a traveller aboard the Una Himachal-Indore Express, the ride turned into a nightmare when a rat allegedly bit him on the nose.

The passenger took to X to complain about the incident, which occurred on August 22 while he was travelling in an AC coach of the express train, said Mukesh Kumar, the public relations officer of the Western Railway's Ratlam division.

A rat bit the passenger when the train was passing through an area under the Agra railway division, and he was later provided first aid, he told reporters.

He clarified that the train had undergone prescribed anti-rodent measures before departing from Indore for Una.

"It is possible that a rat entered the train when the door of a coach was left open somewhere en route," Kumar said.
