A three-judge bench of the High Court stated that there will be extension except in the matter where orders have been passed by the Supreme Court during the intervening period.
"In case, the extension of the interim order causes any hardship of an extreme nature to any party to such proceeding, they are at liberty to avail appropriate remedy as per law," stated the bench headed by Chief Justice D.N. Patel.
The bench also comprising Justices Siddharth Mridul and Talwant Singh exercised their power under Article 226 and 227 of the Constitution and passed the order in view of the incumbent lockdown and limited functioning of the courts in a bid to contain the spread of coronavirus.
Earlier, a similar order was passed in which the court had extended all interim orders subsisting as on March 16 till May 15.
