CHENNAI: To help Class 10 and 12 CBSE students tackle examination-related stress and emotional challenges, the tele-counselling began from Tuesday (January 6), preparing them for the upcoming theory examinations.

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) launched the first phase of its annual free psycho-social counselling for Class 10 and 12 examinees on January 6, 2026, which will continue until June 1.

The Board stated that the initiative focuses on the emotional well-being of the students by addressing the stress associated with examinations, thereby preparing them for forthcoming theory exams slated to begin on February 17, by boosting their confidence and ensuring mental clarity.

For student support in both Hindi and English, a 24x7 toll-free IVRS (1800-11-8004) is available. The service will provide practical guidance on stress-free preparation, effective time and stress management, responses to frequently asked questions, and important CBSE-related contact information to cater to students' requirements.
